If you would like to sell Japanese paper or request Japanese paper production, please contact us using the inquiry form.

Kakishibushi

Each piece of handmade washi paper is hand-painted with persimmon tannins using a brush. Not only is it used for mountings due to its natural color and texture, but it is also used for food storage bags, etc., because it is water-resistant and insect-repellent.

Specifications: 100% Japanese paper mulberry, 2-3 size (approx. 64 x 94 cm)

Main uses: mountings, box exterior paper, wallpaper, storage bags, etc.

Price: 3,000 yen (tax included) per piece

Onikawa

The black outer bark of the paper mulberry is blended into washi paper.

The hard, rough outer skin looks rugged, but when it is filtered through washi paper it takes on a simple, gentle texture.

Main uses: mounting, wallpaper, etc.

Sumiiri

This handmade paper is pale gray in color, with black fibers stained with ink creating a nice accent.

Main uses: mountings, wallpaper, etc.

Price: 2-3 size (64 x 94 cm) 1,800 yen (tax included)

Tomoshiraga

The red and hardened parts of the kozo are called "yake" and are usually removed, but we mixed them in together. "Yake" is like a burn that occurs when kozo rubs against other paper in the wind or rain.

This off-white washi paper has a brown tinge mixed in, allowing you to feel the strength of the kozo.

Specifications: 100% Japanese paper mulberry, 2.6 size (approx. 64 x 185 cm)

Main uses: mounting, wallpaper, etc.
